Toshihide Saito leaves Fujieda MYFC

After five years at Fujieda MYFC, player/manager Toshohide Saito has decided to leave the club.

Under his guidance, the club has progressed from the prefectural leagues to where it is now, about to enter J. League Division 3.

“I have like the five seasons I have been able to play at Fujieda MYFC since 2009  and I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has been involved in the club, sponsors and supporters of Fujieda MYFC.”

The former Japanese international made 57 appearances for the club in three different divisions, including one appearance in the Emperor’s Cup against his former club, Shimizu S-Pulse.

As a mark of respect, the club has decided to retire the number 2 shirt.
