Four more players leave Fujieda including Kerlon

It has been announced today of Fujieda MYFC’s official website (here and here) that four more players will leave the club.

The big news is that the club’s top three foreign players have left. That means it is official that Kerlon‘s contract at the club has come to end.

The former Brazilian U20 international joined the club midway through the 2012 season and made an instant impact. He continued his form into this season, where despite playing just 14 matches, he finished joint top scorer in the league with six goals.

The attacking midfielder made his last appearance for the club in a 0-0 draw with HOYO Oita in August. The 25 year old then returned to his homeland to receive surgery on a troublesome knee injury which has blighted him his entire career.

The team won just one league game in the 2013 season when the Brazillian did not feature, such was the impact he had on the team.

Alan

Fellow Brazillian Alan will also leave the club after four seasons with Fujieda. The forward joined the club from Giravanz Kitakyushu in 2010 and scored 12 goals in 12 matches in the Tokai League. The following season he scored 9 in 11 to help the club win promotion to the JFL.

The past two years in the JFL have seen Alan continue to score, adding the six he scored in 2013 to the eight he scored the year before.

The 30 year old leaves the club with a record of 75 matches and 35 goals.

Another foreigner to the leave the club is Italian/Ghanian centre back Desmond, or Desmond N’Ze Kouassi to give his full name.

The defender signed for MYFC during the 2012 season from Italian club SS Milazzo. He played seven games in that season, losing just one game.

Last year, the 24 year old joined J2 side FC Gifu on a season long loan. He was a regular starter in the term in spells, playing 25 matches and also managing to pick up 2 goals and an assist.

Desmond now leaves the club with his contract up at Fujieda but he is unlikely to struggle to find a new club, after he earned many plaudits during his time with FC Gifu.

The final player to leave the club is striker come defender Shogo Fujimaki. He leaves the club after one season to join fellow J3 side Gainare Tottori.

The 24 year old joined the club from Ventforet Kofu at the start of 2013 as a striker. However, as injuries struck the side, Fujimaki found himself filling in a centre back and making the position his own.

Fujieda fans are unlikely to ever forget Fujimaki. He scored two goals in the dying minutes against Arterivo Wakayama in the first round of the Emperor’s Cup to secure extra time and help MYFC overturn a 2-0 deficit.
